Will Quill Keeper use my intellectual property?
No. Your manuscripts, notes, and all creative works remain entirely yours. Quill Keeper does not use, access, or process your data for any purpose beyond providing the service directly to you. We do not share, sell, or licence your content to any third party under any circumstances.
Will AI language models train on my work?
No. We enforce a strict zero-data-retention policy with every AI provider we integrate. Your manuscripts are never stored, cached, or used for model training by any third-party language model. Our provider agreements explicitly forbid data retention, meaning your creative work cannot be used to train or improve any AI system.
Is my data safe and secure?
Yes. All manuscripts and account data are securely stored on Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure with encryption at rest and in transit. Your data is protected by industry-standard security practices and access controls to ensure your work remains private and available only to you.
Who owns the analysis generated by the system?
You do. Every report, visualization, and character arc map belongs entirely to the author.
Can I export my manuscript at any time?
Yes. You can export your manuscript in PDF, DOCX, HTML, or plain text format at any time.
Can I delete my data permanently?
Yes. When you delete a manuscript, it is permanently removed along with all associated data. This action is irreversible and no copies are retained.

Does Quill Keeper write prose for me?
Absolutely not. Quill Keeper is an analytical mirror, not a ghostwriter. It highlights patterns in your work so you can refine them yourself.
What languages are supported?
Quill Keeper currently supports English for deep semantic analysis. Spell checking accommodates both US and UK variants.
Can I collaborate with other authors?
Yes. You can grant access to other users, allowing them to view your work and leave comments directly within the manuscript.
Is there a limit on manuscript length?

Do you offer a free trial?

Can I compare different drafts or revisions?
Yes. You can create manuscript-wide drafts that snapshot every scene, compare scene content across drafts, and restore previous versions to your current draft at any time.
Does the system suggest fixes or only highlight issues?
Quill Keeper identifies and highlights issues but never suggests replacement lines or rephrasing. Your prose is yours to craft. Language models are not creative -- they produce statistically probable text, not original voice. We believe the writer's own intellect is the only tool fit for that work.
How long does analysis take?
Many metrics are available instantly -- readability scores, sentence complexity, prose rhythm, style breakdowns, vocabulary richness, and linguistic structure are computed on demand. Deeper AI-driven scene analysis runs automatically on a daily schedule so results are always up to date without manual intervention.
Can I manually trigger an analysis of my manuscript?
No. Deep scene analysis runs automatically on a scheduled cycle roughly every half-day. In practice this is far more frequent than the pace at which novels are written, so your analysis results are always up to date.
Does performance change with very large manuscripts?
No. The platform is architected to process content at the scene level, so responsiveness remains consistent regardless of total manuscript length.
How is this different from grammar tools or AI writing assistants?
Quill Keeper combines comprehensive spelling, grammar, and style checking with deep manuscript analytics -- readability scoring, prose rhythm, sentence complexity, vocabulary richness, relationship mapping, and structural scene analysis powered by the latest AI models. Unlike writing assistants, we never generate or rewrite prose. Every word remains yours; we simply give you the most thorough lens through which to examine it.
Is this intended for beginners or experienced authors?
Both. Most features are intuitive and accessible from the start -- word counts, readability scores, and spell checking work out of the box. For writers who want more depth, advanced panels such as linguistic structure, prose rhythm analysis, scene diagnostics, and deep-view mode can be enabled to provide granular insight into craft and technique.

What billing cycles are available and do you offer discounts for annual payments?
We currently offer monthly billing only. There are no annual plans or volume discounts at this time.
Can I cancel my subscription at any time?
Yes. You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. There are no cancellation fees or long-term commitments.
Will I lose access immediately after ending my subscription?
No. After your subscription ends you retain read-only access to your manuscripts and can still export your work. Editing and analysis features are disabled until you resubscribe.
Are all features included, or are some locked behind upgrades?
Every feature is available to every subscriber. There are no premium tiers, upsells, or advertisements. You get the complete platform for a single price.
Do you offer refunds?
No. All subscription fees are non-refundable except as required by applicable law. Please refer to our Terms of Service for the full refund policy.
Are there hidden fees or usage-based charges?
No. All AI analysis costs are included in your subscription. Because AI processing runs on a scheduled daily cycle rather than continuously, we can keep the subscription sustainable without passing variable costs on to you.
Do I need to track tokens or pay extra to keep using analytical features?
No. Unlike many platforms that meter usage with token balances or require top-ups, Quill Keeper has no token tracking, no usage caps, and no additional payments. Your subscription covers everything -- there is nothing extra to monitor, purchase, or run out of.
Is there an offline mode?
No. Quill Keeper operates fully in the cloud. However, it is designed to handle intermittent connectivity and will sync progress when your connection stabilises.
Do you have a mobile app?
No dedicated mobile app. The platform is built with mobile-responsive design to ensure usability across smaller screens.
Can I change my pseudonym later?
Yes. Your profile settings allow full control over your literary identity.
